I am a qualified teacher with over 19 years experience of working with children and young people in a variety of settings, including schools, colleges, community settings and home tutoring.

I like to assess students initially to determine the support that is needed and then I tailor the work to suit the individual student.

I have worked with children whose first language is not English, and am committed to offering them the support so often lacking elsewhere.

My approach is informal and with younger children I try to make learning as fun as possible, incorporating educational games when appropriate.

While I don't drive I am happy to use public transport to travel to students homes.  I will travel as far as 10 miles
