Mohammad - Ballajura

Hi, I am currently a  4th year Mech Engineering student at UWA. Last year i completed a short teaching course and since then I have tutored many first year Engineering students at UWA with Physics and Maths. In semester 1 of uni this year, I was responsible for tutoring a class of thirty first year Engineering students three times a week. Over the past couple of years i have also tutored several high school Maths students.

My tute sessions are most effective when my students come to the session prepared to ask questions. In the past, I have encouraged my students to email me questions or topics they need help with prior to the tute session which allows me to prepare for the session too.

I have a car and therefore I will be able to come to students' houses to teach.

I have a certificate in Peer Tutor training from the University of Western Australia. I have been trained in areas including Teaching, Active Learning Techniques and Problem Solving. Due to this training I have been able to effectively tutor many first year Engineering Students at UWA and several High School students.

Apart from this, I am currently studying Engineeing where I have undertaken many Maths units. I graduated from highschool in 2006 with very good grades in my Maths and Science subjects and achieved a TER of 95.
