I am currently in the 3rd and final year of a Bachelor of Science degree at UWA majoring in Applied Mathematics and Linguistics. I originally commenced my higher education at the University of Bath, England, which at the time was the 2nd highest rated mathematical institution in the UK (after Cambridge). After my family relocated to Australia, I continued my higher education at the University of Western Australia and went on to obtain an average grade of 83% across all units in this first year. My prior qualifications include 5 "A"s at A-Level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and General Studies. I also obtained 6 A*s and 3 As at GCSE level including A*s in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Business Studies, Geography and French.

Hi, I'm James and I'm a 3rd year mathematician at UWA. I began by informally tutoring my friends with their 1st year maths units but am now offering my services to anyone in the Perth area. I accommodate for all students of any level and ability up to and including 1st year university students. Being a uni student myself, I have a fairly flexible timetable so feel free to check out my bookings calendar for the time which best suits you. I pride myself on being able to explain many mathematical concepts in a very thorough, clear and easy-to-understand manner and I'm quite a friendly chap who has plenty of patience for those who think they may need it. If you have a son or daughter who needs someone approachable and friendly whom they can more easily relate to, or if you, yourself, are a maths student who feels they need a little extra help in securing that HD come exam time, then please feel free to contact me. I am based in Currie Hall (opposite the road from the UWA Crawley campus). Most ideally, I would like to hold tutoring sessions locally (either at Currie Hall or UWA itself) as I have only limited use of a car, but we can, of course, make alternative arrangements as long as it isn't too far out of my way!
