Hey all! My name is Bernie and I am currently a third year student at UNSW studying BCom, majoring in Actuarial Studies and Financial Economics. My passion is maths and teaching.
Towards the latter half of high school, I began my tutoring career as a tutor for the Queensland Core Skills test. During my first two years of university, I tutored privately for subjects including: maths, economics, accounting, statistics and finance. I have tutored students from grade 11 2-unit maths all the way to a current MBA student at the AGSM.
I am a student myself and therefore know how to approach problems and empathise with my students. Sessions are tailored to each students' needs and I will give additional resources if required. I do not set additional homework unless requested as I feel understanding is more important than wrote learning.
I live on campus at UNSW and therefore am willing to tutor at my place, in the library, or travel by bus to nearby suburbs. Due to my limited transport resources, learning at the university is much preferred.
