Science lessons in my high school were the highlight of my week. I've been fascinated by science since I was very small and saw my first water rocket take off. Science lessons were a real treat as finally I was learning something that made sense and had a tangible connection to the world around me.
Luckily I had a natural aptitude for science (unlike music or art!). This wasn't so for many of my friends who found science lessons particularly hard. I was good at mathematics which helps a lot with physics and not struggling with physics meant that I could put extra effort in with Chemistry and Biology.
I also had the benefit of a private science tutor who worked with me from the beginning of my science lessons on various homework assignments. Having a private science tutor really helped me grasp concepts and devise memorizing techniques for various formulas. Most of my friends who struggled in science lessons and didn't have private help dropped science as soon as possible which I think is a real shame as it could have opened up many more career options for them.
