We all know that a good exercise routine is good for us, but did you know that getting and staying fit can also:
- Improve cognitive (memory and reasoning) abilities
- Improve your balance
- Protect against fracturing bones by increasing bone density
- Speed up reaction times
- Improve your psychological health.
With a good program of exercise training in place you will feel more in control of your life and better able to concentrate on your goals. A healthy body really is a healthy mind! Improving our reaction speeds through activities like boxing could save your life whilst driving.
There's also the social aspect of exercise training - getting outside and meeting new people. There are so many forms of exercise available - you could go running, swimming, cycling, climbing, surfing, boxing, kick boxing, karate etc etc. Whatever your personality and ability there is a great range of exercise training to choose from.
Exercise can also help relieve various health related disabilities, even sleeping disorders.
A new exercise training regime should only be undertaken in consultation with a personal trainer. If you have been unwell or have not exercised in a while it's always good advice to consult your doctor as well and get a check-up before you start with a new program.
